Thanks to you, we are now a favorite place on Google Maps!

Today we received a letter from Google informing us that due to our popularity, we are a favorite place on Google.

As a reward, Google has given us a special decal. The decal has a special barcode that can be read with camera phones to add Eclectica as a favorite place and read and write reviews, all in an instant.

Thanks for your support and remember to leave a positive review on our Google Maps page!

Hey there! I finally got through my stacks (metaphorically speaking) of email and found this little gem from a(n) (almost) customer.

“I’ve never actually purchased from you’re company before but wanted to let you know that you have some really good prices. I happened to find you Scene Queen Tiered Bow Dress while looking for dresses but was sad when you guys were sold out of it. I did find it on one of my favorite places [name withheld] but I am sad to say that they were charging double what you guys were and would not match your price.

Sooooo keep up the good prices and the cool cloths!”

Here is the dress in question:

The Scene Queen Dress

This dress was a hot seller for us, and while we COULD have charged $90 for it, why would we? Our goal is to provide unique indie clothing, shoes, and accessories, at reasonable prices. We are a locally owned indie company, meaning there are no rich men with money paving our way.

Usually the price battle is the other way around… it’s we who have a little higher prices than other mainstream companies, because we are an indie company. We do not get huge bulk discounts, because we do not buy hundreds of the same items. Mainstream companies, such as those in your local mall, or any big retailer, get volume discounts on items. This means the more they buy the less it actually costs them. While they should (in our eyes) be passing the savings onto their customers, most don’t; instead using it to increase their profit margin.

This is WHY we strive to provide the most unique indie clothing we can find, at prices you can afford.

Bright skinny jeans in hot colors are still remaining one of the top trends this season. New neon colors are coming, and we have them all. From size 0 to size 15, there is sure to be a size to fit everyone perfectly. And, at only $39 a pair, you can’t go wrong.

About Eclectica

The story of Eclectica started from one girl’s frustration with the lack of good fashion in corporate chains and the lack of good prices in area boutiques. She knew that it was possible to find unique clothing from local and indie designers that were at prices people loved and her motto has always been ‘Just because you pay more, doesn’t mean get more.’ The thought you put into how you dress says much more than how much you paid for a brand name.

EclecticaClothing.com  takes pride in hand selecting each and every item they carry; buying what they love and what they’d love to wear. Bringing something special to their customers is what they look forward to each and every day, and they promise they will continue to bring in the best indie clothing, shoes, and accessories at prices that won’t make your pockets bleed.

It seems our art show, Slaptown, is fastly approaching and bringing some controversy with it.

“A street art show happening at Eclectica this Friday is raising some ire at the city as it toes the line for legal art. The show, called Slaptown, is organized by Portland street sticker artist New Colony, who’s been slapping up home-made stickers on newspaper boxes and street signs for three years now. He’s solicited submissions for the show since last April and will stick up every entry on a nine-foot-high wall in the Hawthorne store Friday night.”
